The "Shabnam" Girls' Madrasah, located in the Sabail district of Baku, was established in 2003. Its purpose is to provide religious education to girls who have completed middle or secondary school and wish to learn the fundamentals of Islam.
In its operations, the madrasah is guided by the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Freedom of Religious Belief," and other legal acts, as well as the charter and directives of the Caucasus Muslims Board (CMB).
The "Shabnam" Girls' Madrasah focuses on providing excellent religious education to students, including those who are visually impaired, from various parts of Azerbaijan, without any national or sectarian discrimination. It also aims to prepare them for independent life as worthy citizens and homemakers.
A primary goal for the madrasah's teachers is to promote religious and national values, as well as Islamic and universal virtues, among young girls.
The madrasah operates under the general guidance of the CMB and reports to it as required.
The principal of the "Shabnam" Girls' Madrasah is Gulnara Hashimova.
