We, the heads of religious confessions in Azerbaijan, are honored to appeal to the global community on the eve of the magnificent day - the fifth anniversary of the Victory in the Patriotic War - a day inscribed in the memory of the Azerbaijani people and the history of statehood with golden letters. The pride and majesty generated by the historic Victory in the Patriotic War, which embodies the belief in the triumph of truth and justice on a global scale, are immense. The Azerbaijani people, who mobilized around the idea of ​​"Karabakh is Azerbaijan" for liberating the ancient Azerbaijani lands from occupation, have realized their loftiest dreams. The Azerbaijani state achieved this success and was able to realize the right granted to it by international law through its own strength, thanks to wise political governance, the determination of its leader, the invincible commandership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, and the valor of its glorious Army, consisting of heroic officers and soldiers. The State Flag of Azerbaijan is waving in liberated Karabakh, the Azan (call to prayer) resounds from the minarets of mosques, and our holy temples have been freed from captivity. The Azerbaijani people have the right to celebrate the joy and honor of the magnificent Victory Day, which has entered the pages of world history as the epic of the triumph of the struggle for justice.

By putting an end to the 30-year occupation of its territories, Azerbaijan not only restored its territorial integrity but also demonstrated a high example of people-state unity, internal monolithism, and national-moral solidarity. The empowering factors of our Victory in the Patriotic War were the unity of the state and the people, close rallying around the state leader, national unity within society, mutual understanding between religions and confessions, and unity for the sake of the Motherland's interests. The Azerbaijani people achieved Victory at the cost of great sacrifices. Every Azerbaijani has a share in the Victory we gained. May Almighty Allah have mercy on the thousands of martyrs who sacrificed their lives in this struggle! May the Almighty grant recovery to our heroic veterans who lost their health! In the Patriotic War, all our people, representatives of all ethnic groups, and all religions demonstrated unwavering unity and achieved victory. Representatives of all religious confessions in Azerbaijan fought shoulder to shoulder with us on the front for Azerbaijan's just cause and raised our voice of truth to the world together with us. We buried our martyred sons in the soil of the Motherland together. This is the reality of Azerbaijan, our way of life, and the triumph of our multicultural values.

The Karabakh Victory is part of a series of epochal victories in world history. This Victory was a manifestation of the implementation of international law by the will of the people, a victorious manifesto of a strong and wise leader. This manifesto continues today - Azerbaijan's voice is heard from the Washington Peace Summit, from the Middle East Peace Summit. The President of Azerbaijan achieves new successes on the global political and diplomatic arena and is at the forefront of the world's peace agenda. We, the heads of religious confessions operating in Azerbaijan, are always proud that, thanks to the continuous practical efforts of the President of Azerbaijan on the international stage serving human solidarity, the high-level state-religion relations, and the unique activity of the First Vice-President of Azerbaijan, Mehriban Aliyeva, in promoting multicultural values worldwide, Azerbaijan is appreciated as a model in the world with its experience of coexistence in an environment of interreligious and interconfessional harmony. We, the heads of religious confessions operating in Azerbaijan, are proud of this, wish success to all activities for the establishment of the principles of peace and justice pleasing to the Almighty Creator, and the salvation of human life, a sacred value, and offer our blessings to all the efforts and actions of the President of Azerbaijan in this path.

It was precisely under the leadership of Mr. Ilham Aliyev that multicultural, universally valued Azerbaijan defeated Armenia, which justified mono-ethnic, and vandalistic manifestations. The large-scale construction works carried out by the state aimed at eliminating the bitter consequences of Armenian vandalism in the occupied Azerbaijani territories, the restoration of the Houses of God, temples and places of worship, and the reconstruction of our destroyed cultural and moral heritage monuments make us extremely happy. The Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur lands of Azerbaijan fill each of us with pride with their new, exquisite appearance, magnificent infrastructure projects, prosperous cities and villages, and international airports. We, the faithful of Azerbaijan, look to our future with hope thanks to the grace of the Almighty Creator and the leadership of our head of state, always support the wise political course of the President of Azerbaijan that ensures lasting peace, tranquility, and progress in our country and the region, and ask for blessings from the Almighty Creator.
