On September 4, First Deputy Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board, Mufti Salman Musayev, visited the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Azerbaijan.

Greeted by the Chargé d'affaires of Afghanistan in Azerbaijan, Mr. Mohammad Faisal, Mufti Salman Musayev conveyed the condolences of the Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board, Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade, to the Afghan state and people for the heavy loss of life caused by the devastating earthquake in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan. He also wrote a message in the book of condolences.

During the meeting, verses from the Quran were read for the souls of those who lost their lives in the natural disaster, and prayers were offered for the swift recovery of the injured.

Mr. Mohammad Faisal expressed his high appreciation for the moral support extended by Sheikhulislam and the Caucasus Muslims Board and asked that his thanks be conveyed to the Chairman of the CMB.

The participants of the meeting prayed for the swift resolution of the problems caused by the devastating earthquake, for the prosperity of Afghanistan, and for the further development of relations between the two countries.
