Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with the chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board, Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, during the 8th Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in Astana.
AZERTAC, citing the Akorda press service, reports that President Tokayev emphasized that Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan hold similar positions in promoting interfaith dialogue and strengthening trust between peoples and states.
The head of state of Kazakhstan expressed his confidence that the shared desire to promote interfaith understanding and cooperation will be a solid foundation for the long-term partnership between the two countries.
