On March 21, the Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board (CMB), Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, congratulated the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Tayyeb, on the occasion of the 11th anniversary of the founding of the Muslim Council of Elders, which operates under his esteemed leadership, and the 15th anniversary of his appointment as the Sheikh of Al-Azhar.
The congratulatory letter states:

It is with great pleasure that I convey my most sincere congratulations and wishes to you on the occasion of two significant ceremonies: the eleventh anniversary of the establishment of the Muslim Council of Elders, which operates under your respected leadership, and the fifteenth anniversary of your election to the position of Grand Imam of Al-Azhar.
Under your wise leadership, the Council continues its sincere and sustained efforts towards unifying the ranks of Muslims, promoting the sublime values of our true religion, and fostering Islamic-Islamic and interreligious dialogue.
By the will of Almighty Allah, your acceptance of the Grand Imamate of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif was a blessing for our Islamic Ummah, as you are a beloved leader for every Muslim worldwide, as well as a noble pioneer of wisdom, justice, moderation, brotherhood, and coexistence. You are a leader in promoting the true image of the Islamic religion, and an outstanding hero in the fight against hatred, racism, extremism, and Islamophobia. The whole world, from East to West, has now recognized your leadership role in the march for human fraternity.
On these honored days of the blessed month of Ramadan, I wish you robust health and vigor, and I ask Almighty Allah for blessings upon your historic activities for the welfare of the Islamic Ummah and all humanity.

On the same day, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Tayyeb, wrote a letter of thanks to His Eminence Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade. In his reply letter, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Tayyeb expressed his gratitude to His Eminence Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade for the noble fraternal feelings, sincere prayers, and high appreciation of the role of the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar contained in the congratulatory letter.
Taking this pleasant opportunity, the Sheikh of Al-Azhar requested that his sincere greetings and prayers be conveyed to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, His Excellency Mr. Ilham Aliyev, and congratulated all Muslims of the Caucasus, in the person of the CMB Chairman, on the occasion of the upcoming Eid Al-Fitr holiday.
