To His Eminence Cardinal Kevin Farrell, Camerlengo of the Holy Roman Church

We learned the news about the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis, one of the most prominent religious leaders of our time, with deep sadness.
His Holiness Pope Francis always gave us great inspiration and spirit with his pure love for the Almighty Creator, unwavering faith, and tireless activity full of positive energy. Just a few days ago, we were rejoicing over the news of his health improving and offering thanks to God. The Pope's return to the Vatican had increased the optimism of hundreds of millions of people regarding the Pontiff's health.
The selfless voice of His Holiness Pope Francis always said "No" to wars, violence, hatred, and indifference, calling humanity to peace, mercy, reconciliation, and human fraternity. His special attitude towards conflicts happening in various parts of the world, and his care for the poor, the sick and elderly, refugees, and migrants will forever live in people's hearts.
Pope Francis always offered prayers for the peaceful regulation of the former Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict and the swift establishment of peace and reconciliation between the two neighboring states.
Our visits to the Vatican after His Holiness's Apostolic Visit to Azerbaijan in 2016, and our subsequent meetings in an atmosphere of human fraternity in Kazakhstan and Bahrain, have undoubtedly given valuable contributions to the further strengthening of cooperation between the Roman Catholic Church and the Caucasus Muslims Board and the religious confessions in Azerbaijan, and to the Christian-Muslim dialogue process in general.
Your Eminence Cardinal, on behalf of the Muslims of Azerbaijan, I once again offer deep condolences to you and all the Catholics of the world, and wish you patience.
