On December 9, the 12th traditional Hifz (Quran memorization) ceremony was held at the Shaki Islamic College of the Caucasus Muslims Board. Officials from the Caucasus Muslims Board, the State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations, the Youth Relief Fund, the Shaki City Executive Power, and the parents of Elgun Guliyev—a Hafiz who was martyred in the 44-day Patriotic War—participated in the ceremony.
Following the recitation of the Holy Quran, hymns were performed, and the Quranic recitations of the Hafizes were heard. The First Deputy Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board, Mufti Salman Musayev, conveyed the greetings and prayers of the Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board, Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade, to the participants. He wished the Hafizes success and expressed his hope for the continuity of this traditional graduation ceremony.
During the ceremony, Saleh Mammadov, representative of the Shaki branch of the State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations; Sadiq Yusifov, representative of the Shaki City Executive Power; Abdullah Sert, Vice Chairman of the Board of the Aziz Mahmud Hudayi Foundation of Türkiye; Abdurrahman Topbaş, member of the Board of the Aziz Mahmud Hudayi Foundation; Ahmet Tecim, President of the Youth Relief Fund; and Abdurrahman Nuri, Director of the Shaki Islamic College, delivered speeches offering their advice and blessings to the Hafizes and the audience. On behalf of the parents of this year's 17 graduates, Garay Muradov, father of Hafiz Karamat Muradov, delivered a speech expressing his gratitude.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, "Hifz diplomas" and valuable gifts were presented to the Hafiz graduates by the Caucasus Muslims Board, and a feast (ehsan) was provided.
