On March 14, the Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board, Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade, received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Dmitry Pinevich.

Congratulating the Ambassador on starting his activities in our country, Sheikhulislam A. Pashazade wished him success in his future work. Noting that Azerbaijan-Belarus relations are developing at a high level in all areas, the Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board spoke about the religious and spiritual ties between our countries and commemorated the late religious leader of Belarus, Metropolitan Filaret, with fond memories. Noting that the religious leader of Belarus, Metropolitan Veniamin, participated in the international Forum in Azerbaijan last year, the Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board emphasized the importance of intensifying relations further and offered prayers for the progress and well-being of our friendly, brotherly nations and states with historical ties, and for the success of our state leaders. Sheikhulislam A. Pashazade informed the Ambassador about the Consultative Council of Religious Confessions in Azerbaijan.

Congratulating Sheikhulislam A. Pashazade on the holy month of Ramadan, the Ambassador of Belarus expressed his gratitude for the sincere reception and good wishes. The Ambassador expressed his respect for A. Pashazade, and especially emphasized that during his short time in Azerbaijan, he was impressed by the harmonious environment among the religious communities in our country, the multicultural life, and his witness to the state's care and attention to religious communities. He then presented exquisite books dedicated to Metropolitan Filaret to the Sheikhulislam.
